2025 LCI Plan
About the LCI Program
The Livable Centers Initiative (LCI) is a program funded by the Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC) designed to reduce vehicle miles traveled and improve air quality across the region. The program supports local jurisdictions in creating vibrant, walkable places that provide increased mobility options, encourage healthy lifestyles, and improve access to jobs, housing, and services.

Why Update the LCI Plan?

Town Center CID’s last LCI Plan was completed in 2015. Since then, the area has experienced significant growth and change, creating new opportunities for improvement and development:
-
Kennesaw State University (KSU) has grown to 49,000+ students
with plans for additional projects underway. -
Cobb County International Airport is now serving 300 flights per day.
-
Substantial redevelopment has occurred across retail, office, industrial, hospitality,
and multifamily sectors.
The LCI Plan seeks to integrate findings from prior studies—such as corridor studies, freight planning, electrification efforts, and placemaking initiatives—into a unified vision that guides future investments, growth, and projects.
Focus Areas
The LCI Plan focuses on:
-
