More than just an apartment community, Avonlea Creekside offers residents a place where they can truly feel at home. As the only Avonlea property in the Town Center area, Creekside stands out not only for its thoughtfully designed community but also for its deep-rooted connection to Kennesaw.
"We are a family-owned and operated developer and manager," said Laura Coleman, director of operations at Quintus, developer and manager of Avonlea Creekside. "We've been active in [Town Center Community] for many years and finally had the opportunity to put an apartment project in that area."
Quintus’ story in Kennesaw began decades ago when Coleman’s grandfather purchased land in the area. Now part of the third generation leading the company, she works alongside her cousin Kelly Keappler, the president of Quintus. Their leadership continues the family’s long-standing values: treating everyone as they would want to be treated, ensuring employees find longevity in their roles and focusing on customer service beyond industry trends. Unlike many property management companies, Quintus rarely sells off properties, maintaining a consistent presence in the communities they serve.
Each of Avonlea’s nine metro Atlanta properties carries a distinct theme, and Creekside is no exception. Inspired by the charm of South Carolina’s Low Country, the property, built in 2018, features a garden-style layout for residents to feel welcomed and comfortable. With a focus on modern living, Creekside offers spacious apartment units built with quality, ensuring minimal maintenance issues.
"It has pretty much everything a resident would want - direct interstate access, shops and recreational options," said Coleman.
According to Coleman, Creekside also benefits from Town Center’s emphasis on thoughtful community planning.
"I do feel like the area has really focused on walkability, which has been good," she said. "With the Noonday Creek Trail and the bike share program, that’s been a really cool thing to see. Green space has also become an essential component of the area’s appeal.”
Over the last decade, the Town Center area has evolved into more than just a commercial hub – it’s a true live-work-play environment where businesses and residents come together.
"The special thing about this area is Town Center Community’s commitment to building a community among businesses and residents," Coleman said.
Avonlea Creekside has proudly sponsored the Noonday Shanty 5K/10K every year since the race’s inception. This year’s race will take place on March 22.
"We are the main sponsor of the Noonday Shanty 5K/10K this year," said Coleman. "We’ve sponsored it every year since the first race, but this is the first year we've gotten to be the main sponsor. We feel it’s something that directly benefits us, so we’re happy to help."
Avonlea Creekside continues to thrive despite increased competition from newer properties in the area. Prospective residents frequently ask, "Where’s the closest park? Where can we exercise or walk?" – further proof that walkability and outdoor spaces are major decision-making factors for those choosing to live at Creekside.
With an impressive 70% resident retention rate – far exceeding the national average of 40% – the community’s appeal is evident. Through unique resident events led by Avonlea management, Creekside nurtures a welcoming environment where neighbors feel at home.
As the community continues to evolve, with new businesses and an ever-growing Kennesaw State University, Avonlea Creekside is sure to remain a sought-after place to call home. The low crime rate, excellent schools and suburban charm with easy access to Atlanta make it an ideal location for families, professionals and students.
